Meet Etiquette

UKRC is founded on organising meet-ups at conventions across the UK (and maybe beyond in future) and it's something we feel passionate about since we love meeting people, seeing their incredible cosplays and putting a face to the name! To keep things safe and fun, we've written a few guidelines for our meet-ups.

  Respect other people's boundaries, and don't touch them, their cosplay or their props without permission!

  When people are in cosplay it can be difficult to get a sense of their age, so please be aware that you may be talking to a minor and use common sense. Please keep your behaviour SFW.

 Do not bring drugs or alcohol to any of our meets. 

  Be aware that some cosplays cause the wearer to have limited visibility or hearing impairment. If they seem like they're ignoring you they may just be having difficulty because of their cosplay! Likewise, the people we talk to via text every day online may have difficulties in person so please be patient and understanding.

  A tradition of our meet-ups is that we do a video of everyone "drinking coffee" (it's empty cups) in the style of Sam Lake, which we will share online on our socials. If you would prefer not to be included in this, let us know beforehand!
