About Us

UKRC was founded in 2024 by Taffy (catastrotaffy) and Astor (Asteridae) after they met Peter Franzén and were, to their surprise, the only Alan Wake cosplayers amongst all the Vikings. Since then they have held meets for Remedy fans and cosplayers across the UK and have gone from two nerds to hundreds of the most delightful nerds you ever met. 

Despite the name our community has unexpectedly expanded into Europe with many members living overseas. Our first non-UK fan gathering was held in Sweden at NärCon 2025!

We are an inclusive community founded by LGBTQ+ people, and we encourage a welcoming and safe environment where you can be your authentic self without judgement.
